Cercare di essere un bravo genitore è un dovere piuttosto impegnativo, e non sempre ci si riesce; quantomeno non in tutte le situazioni.
Ho letto un sacco di libri di carattere pedagogico, dai più divulgativi (tipo “Fate la nanna”… e chi non l’ha letto!!??) a quelli un po’ più di nicchia (tipo quelli di Rudolf Steiner) e devo dire che, soprattutto i secondi, mi hanno dato nozioni e spunti fantastici. Anche le conoscenze più strettamente legate al coaching e allo sviluppo personale, che indago da oltre vent’anni, mi stanno aiutando molto.
Mi sono trovato, e mi trovo tutt’ora, a trasmettere ai bimbi atteggiamento e approcci non dogmatici che possono aiutare loro a vivere meglio sotto ogni profilo. Spero ovviamente che tutto ciò porti i risultati sperati.
Ma veniamo al tema del titolo.

Mio figlio Michele ha attualmente 4 anni e 1/2. Come molti altri bambini della sua età, vive momenti di sicurezza ed altri di timidezza. Questi ultimi sono quelli che noi genitori soffriamo di più e nei quali le persone (adulte) che lo incontrano e che cercano di accattivarsene le simpatie gli dicono frasi del tipo: “oh… ma sei un bambino timido…” e io dentro ribollo…
Da qualche settimana mi sono accorto che nelle situazioni in cui si sente inadeguato, timido, in difficoltà, non all’altezza, fa una determinata cosa. Questa cosa, dal mio punto di vista, è una trovata intelligentissima, anche perchè FUNZIONA! E’ una sorta di ristrutturazione mentale mista a un cambio di prospettiva e di sottomodalità percettive. Da quando l’ho notato la prima volta, ho iniziato ad osservarlo con più attenzione ed ho potuto vedere come e quando la mette in azione.
Ad esempio lo fa soprattutto con persone. Quando qualcuno lo mette in difficoltà o imbarazzo Miki applica la sua fantastica tecnica e, ripeto, funziona!
Prima intimorito, si nasconde dietro le mie gambe (piccino, ma quanto mi fa tenerezza???), dopo aver applicato la sua fantastica tecnica sorride ed esce dal suo “rifugio” con la sua solita aria baldanzosa.
E’ così furba che secondo me varrebbe la pena di trasmetterla e insegnarla anche ad altri bimbi.
Metaforicamente sarebbe fantastica anche per gli adulti, intendiamoci, ma per i bimbi secondo me “spacca davvero”!
Come? vuoi sapere di cosa si tratta? Ah… hai anche tu dei bimbi… e ogni tanto si nascondono dietro le tue gambe un po’ intimoriti?
